Coast Salish Elementary

Coast Salish Elementary School (formerly Sheffield Elementary) for the Coquitlam School District was completed in 2023. This project was undertaken in collaboration with Chandos Construction as the General Contractor, and Station One Architecture as Landscape Architect.

Our scope on this project included the following:

• A variety of tree and shrub planting with soils, bark mulch, root barriers, silva cells
• Sodded & hydroseeded lawn areas
• Rain gardens
• Sloped grass seating area with log benches
• Playground areas with PIP Rubber Play Surfaces, and Engineered Wood Fibre
• All-Weather gravel playfield
• Ronco Rail Fencing
• Gravel Pathways
• Site furnishings including bike racks, benches, tree grates, animal-proof waste receptacles,
